You Be The Inspector Part 1-2 and Code Highlights Part 1-2

St. Louis Park, MN - Friday, October 18 & Saturday, October 19, 2024

Class Description:

You Be The Inspector 1-2

Pt 1: This presentation is far from conventional; unlike any you have attended before. It takes a break from the usual tool belt and puts you in the shoes of an electrical inspector. The class is engaging and interactive, allowing participants to follow in the footsteps of a regular inspector and make informed decisions on wiring installations that are, or are not, compliant with code. Through photographs of various electrical installations, you will learn how to handle electricians' queries and answer questions from uninformed homeowners about what needs to be changed or accepted. The class moves quickly, covering all types of wiring, from industrial and commercial to farm and residential installations.

Pt 2: This section of the course follows your journey as an electrical inspector. As you view the provided photograph, some installations will impress you with their excellent workmanship, while others will make you cringe. Throughout the class, you will receive a thorough review of many chapters from the code book, and upon completion, be given a multi-page handout with NEC references for each question in the presentation. The course is based on the 2023 NEC and led by an experienced master electrician. You will gain a sharp understanding of the distinctions between proper and improper wiring methods.

Code Highlights Pt 1-2

Pt 1: An Innovative Approach to Electrical Trade Education. This exceptional resource offers a broad range of questions that challenge students from every corner of the electrical trade. This approach provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the theories and regulations that underpin the National Electrical Code.

Pt 2: In this second installment of Code Highlights 2023, we will continue to review the National Electrical Code. We will delve into the changes introduced in the 2023 code and explore the impact of these changes on your work. From hazardous locations to milking parlors to schools, we will discuss a range of topics that require a deep understanding of the code. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to ask questions and clarify any doubts.
